Dear Colleagues,

The Farmworker Freedom March on Lakeland, April 16-18, was a huge success! I trust that, if you were not able to personally participate, you and your congregations followed the extensive local media coverage. It was uplifting to see so many congregations and clergy participating, from the march's kickoff in downtown Tampa, to the rally in Lakeland. All our hearts were lifted by the joy and dignity of the workers themselves.

The march may be over, but the struggle to transform Publix into a justice-seeking company is not. Check out the workers' webpage to find ways that you and your congregations can continue to support the workers' cause.
